once upon a time i worked for Chevron when they were based in Antrobus, interesting to see a roadworthy GR8.
The recent history of Chevron is complicated, with two different/separate companies claiming ownership of the name and the rights to produce Chevron cars.
The Chevron (Chevron Cars Ltd) that i worked for was the one based in Cheshire, which at the time produced the GT 3&4 cars. That business was purchased & moved to Crewe, this is when my involvement ceased. I don't know much about what happened after that, other than it was rebranded as Jordan Racing Ltd and they ran Bentleys in GT Cup. There is also a Chevron(Chevron Racing Cars) that's based in Hampshire, this is the one which produces the continuation cars, AFAIK.
one of my few claims to fame is being involved(in a small way) in preparing the GT3 car for Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2012. Watch the bit where he goes past the flint wall, I can confirm that he didnt make contact because there wasn't a mark on the car!
edit: the GT3 car was raced in British GT for a time and there was alot of talk about trying to homologate it for european series. It was quite a bit different to the Ferraris and BMWs it was racing against considering it didnt have any of the driver aids. the video below gives a good idea on how raw the driving experience was.
