Can't put these in 'readers rides'. 'cos I can't ride in 'em anymore! Anyway, here goes... 1947 Vauxhall 14/6 J-type 1979 Vauxhall Carlton Mk1 1982 Opel Kadett The 14hp again next to my 1951 Vauxhall velox E-series And my very first car (in 1987), a 1970 Vauxhall Viva HB 1600 SL Automatic. If you know your Viva's you'll know how rare that is!

I'm feeling the Vauxhall love!
I had an HB SL90 early in my driving career.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Probably yes, a few years though. The chap with the Royale is the new owner. Dunno if he ever did anything with it or not though.

Nice selection, loking the PB and Commer. Surely you must have had some rusty tat too? They're all far too nice... I too like early Carltons, my father had them as company cars from about '79 until late 80s... He was a Volvo man, but really liked them. Many happy holidays ensconced in velour splendour, they had low back windows as well so ideal for tat spotting as a kid. Better than a 240 that he had in the mix too... *Puts on memory helmet* LYC 105V - White estate YYA ???X - White estate B??? - Blue estate C999 HYC - Silver estate The later ones were 2.2i, but all good.

Tis indeed a PB Cresta. I thoroughly reccomend owning one. There's also a Velox in the same shape and an early/late with different front ends and engine etc. Built 1962-1965. The one pictured is the late style. a 1965 Cresta 3.3 straight-six with 4 speed+overdrive floor shift box.

Yes and I thought these always came pro-streeted in two tone green. *Sobs at the Commer photo. I really wanted that but alas not to be.
