Citroen BX seats were very comfortable, also the leather seats in my Alfa 159.
Seems to be lots of recommendations for SAAB but I didn't think they were every good.

Loved my X300 jaguars seats far far better than all the mercs I’ve had, a Mercedes W210 with full Jaguar interior would do me Also loved the 2.8i Capri early check recaros ….but I was slimmer in the 80s😁

Thanks gettingold for the very kind offer, I’m up near Preston so not local at all , the plan now is to measure my Camper seats because I think a longer seat base will help on the comfort front both whilst driving and also chilling on a campsite , as a stop gap I’ve ordered a couple of seat extenders from china cos you never know they might just do the job 🙂

My criteria for a Van/camper seat is..... 1, not too big bolsters, its a real pain to get in a "step up" van then negotiate yourself into a deep bolster seat, OK they look cool, but not easy to get in or out of with dignity, the other disadvantage of big bolster seats in a van is because you slide across the bolster to get in they are subject to wearing out very quickly the edge, 2, leather, its easy to clean, I must confess I am in the Mk2 astra GTE recaro camp, I had a pair in my mk2 cortina, that car had a hard ride and the seats were amazingly comfortable driving up and down the country, But I am older and heavier now, and have a T5 pseudo camper thingy, I drive everywhere in that, Retrofitted Range Rover P38 leather seats, they do a wonderful job of keeping me comfy, pain in the butt to wire up and get full electrics working, but not that hard to get a all dancing singing seat. also P38 seats seem to be cheap. I paid £50.00 for a set last year without any obvious wear or damage.

Audi A8 D2 non sport. Absolutely superb. But big, and weigh as much as a small planet, because everything electric.
As I type I am sat in the passenger seat from a Citroen Xantia..... whatever the top spec one was called. Supple black leather, soft padded bolsters and a huge improvement on the cheap office chair whose base it now rests on. Very light and easy to separate from the runners too.

I really liked the seats in my omega and my s-type, they were both really comfy even if you were in them all day.

Volvo, as someone who easily throws their back out - by far the best seats I have sat in. I had a 2006 S60 and a 3hr drive was nothing, used the VC's S80 for a 4hr trip and that was the same & my step dads S40 (1998 one) also was the same.
If someone can find it, either top gear or 5th gear did a review on car seats with a leading posture/chiropractor & they said Volvo was the only manufacturer to have orthopedic seats.

Cheap, not quite as big as most other Volvo seats, and no electrics adjustment to worry about fitting. Like you say though, 2006 s60/v70 seats are superb.
