Got back off of holiday on Saturday, and what a week we had! The weather was absolutely brilliant, even up north!! So i guess it’s only right that it decided to rain on Sunday Convinced Lucy to come with us, and Santa Pod in the rain is never quite as idyllic as, say, Paris And with the inclement weather and it being the Sunday, we were passing people leaving on our way in. Anyway, that’s my excuse for my photos, but here they are The autojumble wasn’t as expansive as I’d have liked, though Lucy managed to dodge a bullet there, as I’m not convinced she’s have enjoyed the game of wandering around recognising oily rusty chod as much as Tom and I do In terms of racing, we saw a fair amount of this fugitivetom took a digital SLR, so I didn’t take many photos, but will get him to load some up later. Here are the few I have where the cars are still in frame

Aaahh so that’s what it was? Coming back from the vintage and 4x4 autojumble at Newbury with heavily laden trailer on the back of my rangie I wondered where all the campers were coming from. Hopefully they all managed to dodge the idiot in The Mercedes we found reversing back round the corner of the sliproad onto the M1 too! 🤬

Nice pics. I was watching the live stream on Saturday, missed Sunday. I haven't been since Bug Jam 20!!!! 😀 I stopped at about bugjam 6 (what year were the Meteors and Neds Atomic Dustbin on stage? Not sure if that was the last year I went) stopped going when it became more about the party than the cars Think it’s better than it used to be, I’ve just been dipping my toes in the last couple of times, from what I was told it was a complete contrast to the week earlier (summer nationals) a different crowd and this weekend was the first week without the rules I guess. Which is possibly why it was quieter on the Sunday, they’d all worn themselves out

I'm going down for the Euro Finals, suits my tastes more these days. I love Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Mod and Street Eliminator. And my wife has become quite the Nitro junkie over the last few years, too. 😁

I was there in my Golf. First time at Bugjam for me, a little disappointed in amount of traders and autojumble but would go again. Drag racing and evening entertainment was good. Didn't take many pics as phone battery kept dying trying to find some non-existent signal. Loved the LT 4x4 fire engine, K70 and shorty bus, Considering going to VW Action at beginning of September now.

Not been to bugjam much either, but like you say was a bit surprised by trader quality/quantity too I assumed the autojumblers sacked setting up in the rain, certainly in the past VW Action has had more of both, and there has been a bigger show field of cars on the Sunday too, but again not really been enough times to make a comparison, but was an enjoyable day out

I think it is the Santa Pod pitch prices putting them off as they have been going up for years and even more now they're trying to recoup some lost covid revenue. Sounds like VW Action might be worth a shot then. Was considering Edition 38 show and shine on the same weekend but far less there and too many moderns so action it will probably be.

Never been to Bugjam and I've gotta say other than the K70 and the red oval nothing there is really doing it for me. Been to Big Bang twice, though. And that was ace.

Think Bug Jam has definitely lost it’s appeal over the last few years .
We try & go VW Action every year .
Definitely the best VW show at pod , with a nice mix of new & old cars .
Also think the racing at Action is really good & varied .
