Hello all I have an electrical question. The Corsair Deluxe has two horns and unlike other cars I have owned or worked on before has two wires, others I have owned or worked on have only had one horn wire and earthed through the horn. I would like to work the horns through a relay just for some added safety, my question is do I connect the relay coil to the two wires that would normally go to the horn and then connect the horns through a fuse from the battery to the relay and then to earth or do I connect the relay coil to the P BK then earth for the relay and the BR to the relay and to the horns and earth?
I know it's sounds a daft question with a simple answer as mentioned earlier in the post "I have never owned a car with horns wired with two wires" & I want to get it right.
Any advice or opinions appreciated.

Hi, If I read your wiring diagram correctly the horn push provides the path to earth so, as your original thoughts, connecting the PBK and BR wires from the horns should operate the relay coil, switching the new, fused, supply to the horns which will then require an earth.
Cheers, Brian.

Following my post and Brian's advice today I have wired up the horns on the Corsair via a relay and I feel a lot better now knowing the original horn wires are no longer having to take all of the load that the horns develope.
I made up a simple two cable loom from the main earth point and battery to the relay, horns and Wrapped it in proper black loom tape using some heat shrink at either end to secure tape. The gray loom on the left is the original horn loom now working the relay.

That is a good move fitting relays. From new the horn ring gave trouble with arcing so reducing the current flow is all good.
