Morning, having fallen foul of buying some of that dodgy batch of fuel lines that were being sold by everyone a couple of years back (those advertised as high quality unleaded lines) I need some new lines.
It needs to be 8mm id (5/16) and needs to work with jubilee clips as it is going on a mk2 golf, running a mk3 tank and a mk4 engine with a 4bar pump. So i believe it needs to be rated much higher than 4 bar.
I'd only use Cohline these days. With the increasing ethanol content, it's just not worth taking the risk to save a few quid.
With the same engine as mine, Harry Metcalfe's mishap on his R107 (fuel hose let go in the engine bay) cost him £2k to have a new harness and other bits repaired. Seeing as my W108 started finding leaks in the front hoses one by one, I can believe that!
The Power Steering Store in Balsall Common, also know as dickdasterdley can sort you out here.
