Didn’t do too many shows this year, Few Sunday Scrambles, Weekender and Gathering and VW Action also went to Germany... so as I looked through my photos there are far too many of Volkswagens, so just going to add a couple of self indulgent photos, but had a great year at the events we did go to

I know I've been pretty quiet on here this year. I've not really got out to as many car things as I used to either, though there have been a few good shows. I've also failed to make as much progress on my own cars as I'd have liked but that's down to good work related issues keeping me very busy. But, through a quite weird set of coincidences/occurrences I did have the most extraordinary automotive experience earlier this year, one of the most incredible days of my life.

I have so many, but I am only going to pick one, or we'll be here all night. I never in all my years thought I'd see a customised Iso Rivolta, it pushes so many of my buttons. Oh and I drove a Cobra Daytona.

This one. Because I drove it for the first time in 2003. Kinda fresh from Holland, I had never seen a car like that and fell in love with it. It was given to me last November. It's looking much better now front garage by Renee Blote, on Flickr This one. I have liked this kind of set up for a long time. I was never able to afford something like this but early 2019 I was able to sell my Delica really well. Used some savings and both the slide on fairly cheap. A few weeks later I found the Patrol really cheap too. 20190504_111246 by Renee Blote, on Flickr The Patrol needed new suspension, coils, leaves, shocks etc but a good friend of us (who runs a suspension shop) told me to pay him when I could. And as last my daily. What a great car. It's sooo cheap to run. I luv it. thumbnail_20191003_123552 by Renee Blote, on Flickr

This was my moment in 2019. I took my family to the weekender and my youngest was doing disney puzzles while the most craziest cars took of for their lap on the goodwood circuit. Never felt more relaxed in my life than that moment.... all good things in the same place at the same time.

johnthesparky you can never have too many Volkswagens... Personally, with June onwards taken up with trying to move house (maybe by the end of January!) I didn't do as much car stuff as I'd hoped. Didn't get to any drag racing at all, didn't use the camper at all, although we did get it running, and haven't used the Beetle since the end of August. Highlight for me was the Retro Rides Gathering, even though it was probably the only show I made it to - I've always managed to miss it in the past, but unless I'm on holiday I won't make that mistake again!

Hoping to get a few more in next year. These two are ace - as are most of the other cars you posted actually. This is exactly what I was hoping for with this thread, things that we'd somehow missed first time round or forgot about. Thanks.
