530I M-Sport in velvet blue X399YCL M54 Auto 171k MOT May 2020 decent MOT history Matching tyres plenty of tread and tracking is straight. £2,000 I will sort out a better ad soon but can't beat the original ad (Hope you don't mind me leaving this link here) link forum.retro-rides.org/thread/209919/530i-sport-auto-individual-velvetBrought from Geordie a few weeks ago in a deal he paid alot more than it's listed for, great chap BTW as was pSyCoSiS. The car drives very well and doesn't show its age or millage. Lovely car just needs a few things Front O/S fog light, has rust bubbles around the arches and bottom of the sills but nothing major (I've seen a set of correct spray colour for £25 on the bay). Just surface rust/corrosion. Has a hesitation on cold start has EML light and I checked codes which popped up two for P0300 and P0313 which is random misfire, I hear a hiss when started from cold and think there is a vacuum leak near CCV/BREATHER box. The breathers can be had for £85 from C3BWM a good source for quality parts and was going to do this, I will try to source the leak in he coming days with brake clean and replace the pipe but the CCV would require a replacement. Drives so well, when the engine runs great after the cold start and is solid and pulls well. Needs a from BMW badge for the bonnet as the blue has worn off. I haven't got the time and although I love the look and feel of this car the misses is very VERY curse word at me as Christmas was tight and a new sofa is on the cards. I brought a IS300 this month aswell. I was going to keep this and tidy it up but happy with the Lexus for now. I haven't listed the car elsewhere and will tidy it up in a month or two and list it for more. Some TLC and you have yourself a very nice optioned E39.

I suspect your leak is a well concealed breather pipe that lives below the intake manifold.

I think your right was planning doing this but thanks for the tip bud.
For others who might be interested I'm very happy to take the cost off the asking price to cover the cost of a replacement.
Such a butch car dispite it being purple

This car is being passed around like the local slag - hope it finds a long term keeper soon! GLWS.

It's a lovely car TBH sorry for using you ad but your ads are epic so can't beat it. Might start doing the body work but thought it will fly at this price. Guess people think there is something major. We know that's it's just small things that make it a great car

Someone will snap it up soon - I've said it many times before - good E39s are only going up in price.

I've dropped the price which is my bottom price and no movement on this.
Most likely someone would knock me down from the £2,200 so I've adjusted to this for you.
This is a RR price and it's higher elsewhere
No offers please as it's great value at this price and to be honest I'll loose money but hey

I've said it many times before - good E39s are only going up in price. You do have to be a bit careful throwing this kind of comment about though. Looks like a lovely car. I had a very similar one but in a boring blue and I’ve been tempted as I’ve seen the ad over the past few months. It’s looking like a very good price.

I know it's been moved around, to be honest it's too flash I like Volvo's and jeeps and like the throw anything in vibe (steady)
Cream leather and back seats that don't drop are a hindrance as I found out today at IKEA.
I washed and drove it last night and fell in love a little, it looks and drives so well. Not practical for me but pretty and very capable, everytime I get into the car I tell myself to keep it. Mate have said it's the nicest car I've had.
BUT my stubborn Sandinavian Wife has found a sofa and I told her once the car sells I'll get it.
The car has a full tank of fuel and has no worries getting anywhere, it did a 270mile trip to get to me.

Wanted it when Pyscosis was selling it Wanted it when Geordie put his pics up of it And still want it now.
Big Tax bill due this month so unfortunately the wrong time for me. If you still have it in February sometime I may well fly down and collect it.

Had a few messages,
To clarify the engine management light (engine symbol) not the EML light is illuminated.
Tyres have decent tread and brakes disc and pads are good and it stops well. No death wobble on motorway

I'm no expert but normal engine management light with a engine symbol, triggers should the computer detect issues like a vacuum leak, there is another more expensive issue with the letters EML on the dash which refers to the electronic throttle.
Someone messaged who was a bit more clued up as the later might deter a sale.
The car drives lovely but the light is on, I tried to clear it with no joy the management detects something.

I don't think that's right. The "EML" warning is the same as the engine picture and is on US-spec cars. Euro cars have the symbol. Unless the several hundred E39s I've bought, sold or broken over the last decade have all been EML-light free, but I doubt it.
