EQUIPMENT

EXTERIOR
This beautifully opulent Jaguar XJ Sport is finished in Jaguar Regency Red Metallic, (Code CFS), which has a deep shine and wonderful uniform finish. All the factory panels are straight and damage free and only light aged related markings are visible on close inspection. Particularly worthy of mention are two tiny dings to the offside rear quarter and a small blemish to the rear bumper chrome strip. All other trim, chrome and light lenses are in good condition and the factory fitted glass retains all stickers and etchings. Jaguar main number plates remain fitted. Graceful, sleek and with a low-slung stance, this car simply exudes sporting elegance.
INTERIOR
A sumptuous and luxurious interior is thoroughly commensurate with the low mileage this car has covered. The beautiful upholstery is trimmed in premium Oatmeal Leather Hide, (Code AGD), with nothing more than miniscule hairline markings to the driver’s upper bolster, utterly insignificant. The precision-fit facia surrounded in Birdseye Maple veneer and Warm Charcoal is superb, as is the often-troublesome headlining. The driver has no shortage of equipment to assist pleasurable journeys and safety features all of which work perfectly, including the climate control, electric driver’s seat height adjustment and factory fitted stereo unit. The deep pile carpeting is clean and retains its fullness. Sheer automotive indulgence with classic pedigree.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The AJ16 3.2 all aluminium 24V engine is designed and manufactured by Jaguar to produce 216bhp and 315Nm of torque. 0-60 is despatched in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 139mph is possible. The engine bay is very clean and all factory plates and stickers are displayed. The electronically controlled, sealed-for-life four-speed automatic transmission is seamless and in harmony with the powerplant, it offers true jaguar refinement and sporting intensity.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The beautifully ornate 16in alloy wheels are in excellent condition and still retain the dark grey inserts often lost on refurbishment. All wheels including the spare are shod in 225/55 R16 tyres with plenty of tread. The vacuum assisted four-wheel disc brakes ventilated front and rear with ABS braking system and YAW control offers safe, rapid stopping power.
HISTORY FILE
This Jaguar XJ6 Sport 3.2 (X300 model) was registered new on the 25th September 1997 having been supplied directly to Jaguar Executive Sales at the famous Browns Lane Jaguar Plant in Coventry. Just two former keepers have cherished this car from new with the last Jaguar enthusiast, Mr Godfrey Devon since 2013. The low mileage of 49,953 miles from new is warranted. The comprehensive full history file consists of both leather-bound Jaguar document wallets housing the full book packs including the service book displaying 18 stamped service entries from Jaguar main dealers and marque specialists. The last service was carried out at 48,201 miles and there is a further file of service invoices and previous MOT certificates as well as two sets of Jaguar Keys.
Representing a very well preserved example of this modern classic Jaguar, it is sure to tempt the avid marque enthusiast wishing to appreciate and enjoy this useable car.
