We've been to Spain many times for long breaks and never had trouble with the amount of tablets in our luggage. A box of paracetamol is about £2.50 so it's a no brainer taking a few packs. yes take a few packs but in the original packaging not split open and in Tupperware tubs

I travel Spain-UK & back , Tablets are usually in there boxes but this time I had a friend post over an additional 6 months of 5 different pills all loose & unboxed & many will be returning with me next week. This is in addition to the 3 other plastic buckets of assorted anti biotics, ointments for everything you can think of & another full of anything likely the dog is going to need . It woud never occur to me that it would be any kind of problem & if we had golost the plot & been arrested for attacking them with pepper spray, ammonia, or one of the assorted axe/machetes that I regularly carry for selling. I've never had a problem with the Guardias attitudes when dealing with them.

Well, we made it unscathed. The crossing was fantastic, no problems at all at The Bay of Biscay. Left Santander port at 3pm last Sunday and headed towards Madrid. Very hilly, and with a loaded van we sometimes dropped down to 30mph! I felt wide awake so decided to drive as far as I could. Got to the east of Madrid and hit a hold up so pulled off for an hour to top up with food, drink and diesel. As we got further from Madrid the traffic really thinned out and for miles ours was the only vehicle on the road. Got to our destination 583.1 miles and 12 hours later. And in all that time we only saw one police car attending a broken down car. Total toll cost...2.35 euros! I can't believe I made the journey without stopping over and it was great fun. Adios!

Our mode of transport for the next 28 hours. Basic cabin but comfortable. A huge breakfast, full english, toast, cereal, croissants, tea etc. Enough for 2 and only a tenner. Just a few of the many boxes. And this is why we're here....70°F in December.

Spotted in a shopping centre in Almeria. What's it based on? Would turn a few heads on the M25!

Yep - SEAT started off building FIATs under license before being brought into the VAG group. Last one was probably the Marbella (Panda)?

cant wait...this time tomorrow we should be touching down on lanzarote for our xmas blue skies re-charge! 👍🌞 Know how you feel. We've waited years to spend Christmas and the New Year in the sun. Our daughters and grandsons join us on Christmas Eve. Enjoy your re-charge. Cheers!

cant wait...this time tomorrow we should be touching down on lanzarote for our xmas blue skies re-charge! Many, many years ago, some friends had Christmas in Lanzarote and came back complaining that there was something wrong in spending Christmas Day in a warm climate. I've been doing it for 14 years or so now, and have yet to see the downside!

I've been doing it for 14 years or so now, and have yet to see the downside! Been coming to lanza for years at christmas/new year. Perfect time to get away from the beastly weather (especially this year) and general over comercialisaton of the whole thing. Now we have our own place out here it is a total no-brainer!!

I must admit, I wasn't sure what my feelings would be but it's the best decision we have made. No more UK for us xmas time. This is Garrucha harbour Boxing Day with my grandson.
