Jaguar XJ8 FOR SALE SOLD
Re-Advertised after being let down by buyer
Reduced to £1295.
Registered in March 1998, this Jaguar XJ8 is in great condition and suffers from none of the rust, tatty trim and unreliable electrics which can affect older Jaguar saloons.
With a price tag of almost £50k when new, this car has lovely British Racing Green bodywork with full oatmeal leather interior and the 3.2 litre V8 engine with auto gearbox.
I think the condition is really very good for a car of it’s age. The comparatively low mileage of just 88,000 is validated by old MOT’s and a comprehensive service record. Original two keys plus remotes, the headliner has been replaced, and I recently had the ABS control unit replaced.
It has all the options you would expect – electric seats, CD multiplayer, air-con etc., etc. Even the tool set is still wrapped in plastic and has never been opened.
Economy has been better than I expected – around 23-25mpg around town, with better results on a run.
What really makes this one stand out, apart from the rare BRG paintwork, are the 18” XJR alloy wheels with almost new tyres and XJR black mesh grill I added shortly after buying the car. The originals are available if you prefer them.
12 months MOT - expires 24/01/2021.
No silly offers please and not looking to swap it for anything (except maybe a classic motorcycle). Car can be viewed in Woking, Surrey. I’d be happy to jump in and drive it anywhere. The previous owner regularly drove it from Surrey to his 2nd home in the Scottish Highlands.
So if you fancy yourself as a bank manager / bank robber or Arthur Daley, get yourself a Jag – You know it makes sense!
