Hi all,
Inspired by the thread a few stories down, does anyone remember a white Mk1 Metro Turbo featured on the very back page of an early issue of Max Power?
Was white with a red cage/body kit and running on multi-spoke Ronal wheels.
Was written, if I remember rightly, by Vicki Butler Henderson.
A scan would be ace if anyone's got it. We're talking really early 90s here.

Yeah, bit like one. Certainly wheel wise as it was running Ronal challenge wheels. White body with a red Turbo kit.

Nope, that's the one! And the eBay ad was the very reason I ask, as I was sure it was one and the same car. Sad, but quite a surprise that it's still out there.
Thought it sold quite cheap to be honest. If it actually did sell, that is.

I remember this car!
It was advertised in the back of Max Power in the mid 90s as well! £2.8k IIRC, which was decent money for a Metro Turbo back then! My dad paid £600 for a 70k D reg back then!
IIRC this had all manner of trick goodies including the much needed Jack Knight straight cut 'box.
This was the reason why my dad sold ours. The 'box went for about the 5th time in the car's life. My mum loved the car and was gutted to see it go.
