Most of these are taken around the North Shore as I'm living in Neutral Bay so it's just what I see out on my walks. Mosman area is $$$'d up for sure. Oops I see the Chrysler Valiant's so ugly I put it in twice. might be ugly to younger eyes but they were built n OZ with the 225 slant six so were a damned sight faster than anything else ,except for the supercharged Studebakers the NSW police had .it was years before Holden or Ford could make anything go as fast as the S series Valiant. It looks like those pics were tasken in a trendoid infested part of Soyville Soory,Sydney. Only hipsters would leave those sorts of vehicles on the street.

Bit of useless information, having seen that photo of the MG with the Targa Tasmania sticker on it. My brother did that in the 90,s with a Extensively modified E30 BMW, group A car. Had a couple of fastest stages outright, 272km speed through the traps was a good 10kph faster than everybody else. No mean feat considering the Ferraris and Lambos he was up against. Car was banned the following year, along with the rest of his class following a couple of fatal accidents. Funnily enough he was contacted about three years ago by the organisers wanting to know if he still has the car,( which he does, but it hasn’t turned a wheel in years) . Apparently they were thinking about unbanning that class as interest has dwindled with the spectators.....go figure, looks bad if you die when the going is good, but not so bad when the going isn’t....🙄😂😂
He’s done it a couple of times in the last couple of years with my Nephew as co driver in his Porsche Gt3. Same power but all the driver’s aids and aircon ,he has become an oldfart....🤣🤣

@johnnybravo have you watched Love The Beast with Eric Bana doing the Targa Tasmania in his old Ford? Good film.

No cars but just had the most amazing storm. It was lightning for around 2 hours but no rain or thunder and then suddenly BAM it hit us from nowhere. Fantastic. As you were...

What a heart warming thread. You have all that I need. It looks like down under got a lot more interesting all of a sudden.
Great weather, cars and .. tall ships. What else would one need for happiness (they also have beer and steaks).
Is it difficult to find work down under?

It depends what you do and which part of the country you're in... I've been out of work since I got back from an extended travel trip.
Some jobs are in demand like boiler making, but office type jobs are hotly contested, with 100s all vying for the same job.

We came out here with the wife’s job so she had it all lined up. The plan was that I would have 3 months off and then start working but 9 months on and I’m still living the life of Reilly. I’m chief pot and bottle washer at Nudger Towers.

Sounds good to me. And yes I am sure there are some jobs that are in demand while others less so. I have done it once in my life already and I am starting to feel the itch again..
You make Australia look like a solid contender.

It's hot as balls. Don't come to Queensland. We're starting to dream of Tasmania...

Part of my job is to take care of this (probably not a job that is in on the high demand jobs' list as there are not very many of them): So although I am not a sailor tall ships are an important part of my life. Almost as important as cars that I live for.. G.

That's a beauty.
It's not been mega hot in Sydney this summer. Well certainly not as hot as I was expecting. Think we've only had one day in the 40's so far although for 3 months you couldn't see the sun for all the smoke.
