Looking for a cylinder head from a D6B engine - later model 205 GTI 1.9 engine.
Also late model ECU as well.
Any leads much appreciated as complete heads are seemingly impossible to find!

jetronic or motronic?

dickie12 Thank you! welshpug - I was hoping you'd see this thread as an expert (from what I can see in the forums). The car is a 1.9 detuned cat engine (Gentry/CTI models). I have been led to believe this engine will take the cylinder head from a D6B engine? Sorry but not sure if Jetronic or Motronic but if you can give me a steer on what to look for?

look at the ecu casing, you'll find a part number and also the work JETRONIC or MOTRONIC on there, it could be either on the 105 bhp engine and the 122/128 bhp engine as there's a few types even with a cat.
the higher power heads will fit but will give a significant compression ratio increase if its onto a 105 as the piston and chamber design are quite different, in your favour if you want to modify it! but this will need a bigger cam and a mappable ecu.
unusual to need a replacement head really, they can be refurbished, and skimmed quite a bit.
