I'm currently loving all the Apollo 11 coverage on the TV, and like all petrolheads I always scan old footage for the cars in the background and haven't been disappointed. some of the scenes of public going to watch the launch looked like a car show in themselves. Soooo.... It's 1969, and you're going to Cape Canaveral in your brand new ride. what are you driving? (P.S. "imports" are allowed.) Personally I'll take this, Boss 302 Mustang. (the best looking of all Mustangs)

How about changing it to cars that were introduced in 1969, I think I've got a winner; (yes I know that's not actually a 1969 model, the car or the err model)

That Boss 302 is the absolute nuts. I agree, that would be my choice.

I would grace the parking lot at Cape Canaveral in my brand new Ferrari as I would be in very high paying position... I might take my wife's car at times too However as I prefer to work part time and would probably not have that very high position I would rock up in one of the other best cars ever produced...

To fit in it'd have to be a Corvette Didn't the astronauts get some deal where they got a Corvette for a $1?

Space travelling is not my cup of tea. So in 1969 instead of driving to Cape Carnival I probably rather would have taken the bus to Woddstock festival. Hanging out with the girls (naked!), listening to cool bands, smoking weed, getting diverse sexually transmitted diseases... And you want to see a couple of guys stuffed into one rocket???

I'd be putting my order in for one of the very first Datsun 240z's and if I can't have that for some ungodly reason, I'm flying to Japan to buy myself a GTR, you know, because me in the 60's had all the money and the babes
