I'll put some feelers out now - by the autumn I'll need a cheap, MOT'd and mostly working 4x4. Under £500, ideally, the cheaper the better. I have zero preference for make and model but it must be 4x4, MOT'd and running. It is needed for a one-off thing and will be scrapped immediately afterwards and I already have too many cars, so no projects or keepers or "future classics". I am thinking early Freelander, Frontera or similar. I'm in the Midlands but don't mind travelling (a bit) for a rotten but roadworthy Vitara in pink, or something, as long as it gets me home. Got one? Know of one? Seen one online somewhere?
I'm a bit pants at forums lately, please drop me an email via my profile if you have, or know of, something similar.
Cheers.

Might be worth looking for an old rotten Disco, you might strike lucky and find one for £500

You best get on eBay mate, been 20+ sold for around £500 or less over last couple of weeks.
You could buy them and sell the engines at a profit...

Disco, no Disco, I'm just after something I can green lane in and then throw away when I've killed it.
Anyone?

I have a 3 door Discovery 1. Everything works as it should.
Recent Pirelli Scorpions, new exhaust. MOT is short (I think) until the end of September or if I remember correctly. Runs , drives, stops, does what it should and 4x4/diff locks work. I’ve been using it to tow my jet ski around, am now fitting a tow bar to another car to reduce tax and insurance costs.
£500
Down in Kent though.
