Is it worth buying second hand leaf springs? (Capri mk3) my cars springs are flat and the arch is basicly at the top of the tyres (mounts all look fine) the springs I’ve seen are single leaf too. I though older springs might make ride higher and even out with the lowered front?
Any ideas?

As long as there not cracked, look in good serviceable condition, and a lot cheaper, there's no issue. After all every by car you buy comes with second hand springs 😁.

Because when people fit lowering / uprated springs it doesn't mean there was anything wrong with the old springs. Could be off a car scrapped due to accident damage or terminal rust. If you were to do an engine conversion, chances are you wouldn't fit a brand new engine. You would just make sure it was right and pay the vendor according to its condition. I bought after market 145lb leafs my Escort. Came with no locating pin for the axle. The hole that was there was to small so had to redrill it- that was a pain in the . When I finally fitted them they were way to hard to be only 146lb. Over time they took on a funny S shape. I'm now running second hand Standard leaf springs that work a treat.

I guess that I have reached a time in my life where I have had enough of second hand stuff :-)
