Would of had a cheeky bid but at £310 already it's already at more than I'd be willing to gamble on it 😆 £510 now...

If anyone here does win it please keep it exactly as it is or restore it as it is, horse shoes, chains, tassels the lot. I cannot remember any car generating this much interest so fast, as davethepieman said "so bad it is brilliant" This car is legendary already and a thumbs up for every post in this thread

'Pulled out of a garage in Gillingham' yet now located in Burton Upon Trent...?
Methinks someone may have 'barn-found' this and is now selling it on as its a bit much to deal with...
I was trying to see if i recognised the location from the photos, but if they are from the unearthing in Gillingham its quite unlikely.....

Love it or hate it, its popular. With the bidding at £510 i hope it keeps rising to ensure it falls into the right hands. It would be great to see it left in either 'barn find' condition, or to restore it to its original build spec, or even go all-out and add a bit of metalflake to it, polish the slot mags or try and find wider ones, jack it up, add a V8, chrome everything, give the inside a top quality 'original' spec retrim (tassles included). Gold plated horseshoes.

The fact that it mentions my old home town of Burton on Trent speaks volumes to me, living in the brewing capital of Britain does strange things to people, oh and the wife’s already said NO!!!! 😂😂😂

the wife’s already said NO!!!! 😂😂😂 You're supposed to "ASK" after you've already won the auction not before you bid!

The thing is women in general don't know the first thing about cars, and rarely have sufficient interest to even discern between one or another *.
So buy it with confidence because I'll doubt she'll even realise it's not the same car you had previously (previous car will need to be tucked behind the shed for a few weeks so she doesn't suspect anything)
(* with huge apologies to the women of RR for this grossly inaccurate and chauvinistic generalisation... it was deployed in ironic jest and clearly isn't true at all)

It took me nearly 2 years to decide on the Z3 after selling the Midget, and I'm still in two minds as to whether I should keep it or not (as a second car, its not exactly cheap to own, whereas the Midget was both peanuts to insure and service, the BMW is sadly somewhat less so ) So the likelihood of me taking the plunge with another BL product (especially something so, erm, unique) is unlikely. Plus, I'm reasonably sure I would end up sleeping in the shed for the foreseeable future if I brought that home..!
