Hi, putting my Polo up for sale. A friend owned this back in 2012 to around 2016, we replaced the engine with a 1.4 ABD from a mk3 Golf and he went on to add multi point injection from a Polo GT, a schrick high lift cam, chipped Ecu and a stainless 4 branch manifold. It has been through a couple of owners since and was showing signs of neglect.
I spotted it for sale recently with no mot and felt some nostalgia for it so bought it and set about trying to get it into a usable state. When I got it, the interior was unbolted/removed and most of it was in the boot, I have managed to source and replace the majority of it but the headlining is missing along with the parcel shelf.

The car drives incredibly well, its great fun to drive and turns heads everywhere it goes.
It handles like a go-kart and really sticks to the road due to the lowered suspension.
The engine is a 1.4 ABD from a MK3 Golf, it's fitted with a Schrick high lift cam, multi-point injection from a Polo GT, a chipped ECU and a stainless steel 4-2-1 exhaust manifold to straight through exhaust.

It's got a little bit more low down torque than a regular Polo GT but still revs all the way up the rev range due to the increased limit chipped ECU.
By modern standards it isn't fast but for an early 1990's car which is quite light in weight it's really great fun to race down the country lanes in.
it has a 5 speed gearbox, engine, box and clutch are in great working order.
It has a pair of Corrado front seats up front which are lower to the floor and a little bit more supportive than standard Polo seats and has a standard rear bench in a faded blue colour.
At some point a previous owner has removed the headlining, sun visors and carpets, I've managed to source and fit the visors and carpet but the headlining is still missing.
It has a de-badged grille, smoked headlights and indicators but I do have a pair of standard lights and orange indicators to go with the car.
It'll come on standard black steel wheels (not the alloys pictured)
The bodywork is pretty average, it does look much better in the photos (they always do) but there are a couple of things to consider, there are areas of non-structural rust, worst bit is on the drivers door under where the bump strip was previously positioned - it has since been removed and there's traces of adhesive running along the door.
There are other various specs of rust around the car as you would expect of a car this age, the good news is the underside is solid and requires no welding.
Also at some point someone has used a scratch repair paint pen to colour in all of the scratches and stone chips - it looks really curse word!
I think that just about covers it, the car is in Fife, Scotland and is ready to drive away, I have the current v5 in my name.
