Terrible looking conversion.
But I get you on it growing on you.
Probably needs the rear glass area to be redone, bed to be finished.
License plate??
Come up as anything?

Also (I'm not 100% familiar with Volvo's other than recognizing it's a Volvo) but is it front wheel drive or rear as there are chains on both front wheels?

Also (I'm not 100% familiar with Volvo's other than recognizing it's a Volvo) but is it front wheel drive or rear as there are chains on both front wheels? Being a 244 it is rear drive. Wonder if the chains are on to enable it to roll on utterly knackered tyres? Agree it doesn't look that great but I totally get the intrigue. Wonder if there'll be any problems getting it tested?

More likely the chains are on the front because whoever put them on didn't know how to use them.
This is the second time it's been on now. It didn't sell the other week so they've put it back on with an identically bad advert. I'd imagine it's totally shafted which is why they've put such a bad description of it. Can't get the sale canceled for not describing something properly if you just don't bother describing it.

Very true. It does look pretty dreadful, and the car ain't much better. I am guessing that there's not much in the way of floors.
Might be a source of spares I guess.

Not sure it would provide many spares in that state... but it does have a desirable earlier flathood bonnet, and appears to have an m46 4speed + overdrive box, which could be used to upgrade an early car to have 5 speeds whilst retaining the mechanically driven speedo.
Someone has bid the £300 minimum, don’t think I would...
