Hi all,
Here for sale is my 1990 breadvan fox with 77k miles 1.05 hz engine and weber carb. Purchased last year as a cheap runaround to keep my other cars away from the winter salt, served me pretty well, selling as mot 27/05/2019 due and i can't weld for toffee.
Done a few odds and sods and chucked a few parts at it including
Head gasket (oil leak from front corner above alternator, common problem poor design)
Head skim 0.002" just to be safe, done at service exchange parts Kegworth
Replaced valve stem seals and lapped valves as they were out
New timing belt
Camshaft seals both ends
New radiator
New vacuum hoses
Replaced intake and exhaust gaskets
New engine breather hoses
Coolant flush and new coolant
Replaced fuel,air and oil filter
spark plugs and rotor arm
Oil replaced recently
New Battery
Front discs and pads, rear shoes and wheel cylinder, flexible brake hoses
Brake fluid flush/replace
Some carb gaskets and diaphragms
Also tarted a few things up a bit exhaust and intake manifold, rocker box, air filter housing that sort of thing
Recent exhaust
And the not so good bits the carb mount needs replacing, I did change it last september with a Topran one but its split already. A fair few dents and scratches all over the car, never bothered me too much just means i was happy to park it anywhere. No radio or speakers. And a bit of rot on the lower rear quarters (will need sorting for mot). The front wings have been replaced prior to me and are a different colour also they have no side indicators, wiring there and set of indicators included with car. Has five different brands of tyres, full size spare, all with a good amount of tread
So yeah, mechanically pretty sound just cosmetics let it down, will include haynes manual and a few spare parts.
