I came home in a Rover P5 3ltr. As a baby, sitting in it with the engine running on their driveway was the best way to get me off to sleep apparently ! I think for me it was a P5B? My dad moved onto P5b's,both saloon and coupes but always reckoned the 3ltr was his preferred engine.

All I know, it was a taxi ( not a black cab) and someone drove into it on our way home.

Apparently it was my grandparents brand new white Vauxhall Viva, being May 1970 Wikipedia says it would have been a HB... With me being ill in one hospital and Grandad recovering from heart attack in another it got ran in with all the trips back and forth.

I came home in a prewar (1934?) Austin 16. The car is long dead, but the reg plate (DME 3) lives on still. Both my kids came home in a Volvo 122S Estate. Just because parenthood necessitates a more sensible car, doesn't mean it can't be cool!

Morris Traveller. Not this one but I believe it was the same colour. First family car I actually remember was a Datsun Sunny Estate. I would definitely have the Morris today.

Zero idea as my parents aren't car people and my Dad passed his test a few years later, lol.

I gather it was probably a Ford Corsair, as my mum apparently lost it on snow and ice near Brooklands, writing it off with me in the back shortly after I was born, not that I remember a thing about it!

Truth be told, I'm not sure. We're thinking it's a Polo or a Golf - circa. 1980 - can anyone confirm?

As far as I know it would have been a Mk1 Ford Escort 1300 GT with ZF Gearbox. Need to talk to my Dad to get either a reg number or photo. I believe it was an H reg.
