My old man drove Bedford TK lorries for the HMSO in London in the early 70s and tells me they were light years ahead of what came before them and better than the main rivals models
Used to work for a guy that built horseboxes and TKs or Ford 'D' Series were the weapons of choice.
Yes, the D had a tilting cab, giving good access to the engine, although at the expense of losing half the Luton's capacity. On the other hand, that wasn't a problem with the TK, although engine access was a little compromised, but we managed. However, in terms of driving, the TK was way, way nicer than the D.
