Today I have made a thing that I have never made before, ( and I have been making things for a very long time ). What is this marvellous creation you ask? ..... A NUT ! It is a 1” UNF thread and fits a 40mm spanner. Took half a day to make, but dead chuffed with it. Must have used 10s of thousands of nuts and bolts over the years and havent really given them much thought. Will try to apreciate them more from now on.

Looks pretty sweet, but what did you need such a nut for, and where's the picture of it fitted?

I have a job coming up that needs over 100 circles made of 25 x 6 flat and 10mm round. Usually I find something near the size I want and just wrap it round, but as there are so many and some need to match I thought about making a circle bending thing. The nut is one of the smallest bits of it. I will get a pic tomorrow and put it up.

This is the circle-o-matic. Nut is on the top to adjust how big a circle you make.
