Would like to build a spare wheel carrier for the back of the Delica.
I've come up with a simple design, but I have no idea what size box section to make the carrier from!
The wheel and tyre weigh no more than 50kgs, it'll be supported on an L shape carrier which is hinged at one end and supported (and fastened) at the other end.
The length of the L is 80 cms across the back of the Delica , what size box tube should the frame be made from, considering that it will be often in the unsupported swing away position while the back door is open and I'm cooking on the pull out cooker? But I'd also like to keep the weight down....the hinge can hold 250kgs.
