A phrase taken too far by ex work colleagues of mine rebuilding an Alfa 155 engine...

...somewhere I have a pic of them attempting to find TDC with a tree branch!

The side skirts on my Demio were made from uPVC window sill.





The spoiler on the Micra was cut and sanded into shape from blue styrofoam and painted with black QD satin wood - its water based so didn't "eat" the foam.





At the front the light covers were made just by vacuum forming over a spare pair of headlight lenses. The star detail was zapped out on the laser cutter at work.



I cracked the bottom corner of the windscreen, and couldn't afford to replace it so did the "single wiper conversion" by removing the offside wiper, gluing and black cap over the drive spline so that it wasn't obviously just missing and moving the park position round a couple of splines. This meant that the crack was no longer in the swept area. I converted the arm to straight rather than cranked as stock by welding the bottom half before the crank to most of the straight rear arm to keep the length correct.

The Micra also had star indicator lenses that I made by press forming a star lens and gluing to a modified oem base.
