**NOW SOLD**
Very reluctant sale, as this is a real bit of me....Japanese, quirky and rare. However, a car that I want , or absolutely need, has become available, and I always end up between a rock and a hard place.... anyway...
1989 Mazda 626 GT Coupe
133k Miles
MOT until 11/11/19
2 litre gold top FE3 engine (FE-DOHC) 148bhp
The car was parked up for many years, and recommissioned in the last 12 months. Work done (with receipts):
Cam belt changed (even though it's a non-interference engine)
New discs/pads all round
New brake fluid
Two refurbished calipers
New springs and shocks on all 4 corners
New fuel pump
New fuel tank
New radiator
New power steering pump
New thermostat
New starter motor
New rear silencer
New clutch and flywheel
New gearbox oil
New battery
Oil changes, plugs and tune
4 x new Dunlop Blu Sport tyres
Original alloys
Electric windows
Electric mirrors
Electric sunroof
Cruise control
Lumbar support
Headlight washers
...and all the above work.
Rust free. Very clean
Starts, drives and stops perfectly. Fantastic non-interference FE3 engine, which is super-revvy and has loads of low down torque.
There's a set of lowering springs, which will go with the car if the asking price is met.
The music comes from a modern Sony single din unit. All the speakers have recently been replaced and upgraded, so the choons are pumping!
Points to note:
If the fuel tank is a third full or less, the car loses power when turning right. I've just kept it above that level all the time and it drives perfectly.
Slight scuff to lower rear bumper.
Only one key, which only opens the driver's door. Boot is opened by the internal lever, and central locking works on both doors from the key.
This is a super rare car, with only about 3 of the two door GT coupe's left now. It's a hugely regrettable sale, and I'm only selling as an old Datsun that I really want has come up for sale.
Car is located on Teesside/North Yorkshire coast (Postcode TS12). I'll happily help out with picking the new owner up from a local airport (Teesside or Newcastle) or railway station (Darlington, Middlesbrough or Saltburn).
Looking for £1750, and it's worth more than that, but sensible offers considered from Retro Riders of course.

Thanks for looking.
