Been trying to fit my windscreen on my 67 beetle but not having much luck.
I have cal look seals. I have managed to get the rear window in but it doesn’t look right and the front has been a nightmare seems the top corners are miles out if I start from the bottom and vice versa.
Any tips on fitting windows? I’m using paracord which is lifting the rubber perfectly and someone on the other side applying pressure.
I really don’t want to use washing up liquid.

have you tried a rubber lubricant instead of washing up liquid

Has stated above a lubricant will help - WD 40 or anything similar - chances are that the sealing fins within the rubber are preventing the screen & rubber from seating correctly into the aperture

Will regular WD40 be alright or does it have to be a silicon one?
Is it best to apply it to the car or the seal?

Any, squirt it in the groove and over the seal then wipe off when you're done. I've used furniture polish in the past, cheaper and smells nicer.

some windscreens are worse than others, but i always got the job done by using; two pairs of hands, paracord, and plenty of fairy liquid.

Nice one will give it ago with some wd40
Next question how do I remove a window that’s already fitted? The rear window has only been in a couple of weeks but doesn’t look right
