Hi folks, I'm in the process of recommissioning a 1973 Triumph GT6.
My welding experience is very limited and I don't have a MIG machine. Part of the recommissioning will be to weld 2x short gusset sections which go between the main chassis rail and front crossmember. The rest is very solid and these sections are vulnerable to the elements.
The sections are available New for sensible money hence patching not worth considering.
Rather than taking the car to a garage I'd like to get the work done on site (North Leeds area) and I am quite happy to remove old sections with angle grinder, prep the area, provide tea, bacon sarnies etc etc.
What I'm after is someone who is competent with welding and has the gear to do the job. Happy of course to pay the going rate for this work and help out where possible. The car is indoors in a decent size garage with good light, power etc and the repair area is easily accessible.
Hence question is, could anyone recommend someone for this work? I'd be looking at getting this done towards the end of April timescale wise.
Cheers in advance for any recommendations!!
