Think I might have found a Ferguson transfer box as fitted to Jensen, Triumph,Opel etc to make them a 4wd car before it became popular with big manufacturers. Is it a rare thing? Cant say I have ever seen one before.

The more I dig into this it seems like everybody tried a few. Jensen obviously the most I think. Ten or a dozen Opel senators for the British military in Germany, couple of Stags and two 2500 Triumphs, along with the Fords. Even a Mustang and a Scimitar ! Looking like the car is going to be a fair bit of bother to sort. Imagine it will get broken up eventually.

There was the Triumph Pony that used the 1300 FWD gearbox with the transfer box behind it. Probably not a problem as Standard owned both Triumph and the rights to Fergusson in the eastern hemisphere at the time. One on ebay at the minute (nothing to do with me!) Ebay - Triumph Pony gearbox
