This has been my daily for the last 8 months, however I'm selling due to the ULEZ Charge in Central London It is really quiet, super reliable, comfortable and easy to drive - nice light power steering, excellent driving position/visibility. I'm really gutted to be selling it!
Good points...
The car is in excellent condition and low mileage (at 80k it is barely run in - i previously had a bluebird with 260k on the clock!), most importantly no rust anywhere. It recently had the following - timing belt at 72k (now at 80 - gates sticker to prove) full service (plugs, filters, oil, dizzy cap, rotor arm, leads), new battery, alternator, recent radiator, new thermostat, new window regulator, pioneer head unit with bluetooth, new speakers all round (pioneer 6x9s on the parcel shelf, 5" inch ones in the doors), two new tyres (though all four are very good - no old cracked rubber).
Bad points
Boot struts don't hold the boot up (though I have "fixed this by sliding a bit of pipe over the strut which holds it up when open), oil leak from rocker cover gasket (I have a new Nissan one to fit - will be done before sale), two scratches - one on the door, one on the bonnet, one scuff on the wing, cracking on the dash (not major)
I'm not in a hurry to sell, I have until 2021 until this charge starts to affect me properly but will listen to sensible offers. Also interested in swaps with anything post 2001, Japanese and reasonably quick (ideally looking for a 190 bhp celica).
If anyone wants to do something interesting with this, I also have a ca18et engine with loom and ecu - the engine from the Bluebird Turbo ZX (now super rare). It would be a very straight forward engine swap and with a couple of simple mods you could build a very reliable 200bhp sleeper (this was my long term plan). I would part with this too for the right price.
Also if you wanted me to get the paintwork sorted, if you give me 1700 i will get the paintwork sorted.
