Hi all
just started a conversion on a 2011 Vauxhall Vivaro.
So far I have removed the tow bar and fitted rear parking sensors, removed the dodgy racking, flooring and ply lining, thinned out and rerouted the wiring loon, fitted a pair of limo tint windows to the rear doors.
Cheers - mike

Blimey Mike, you don't take much of a break from one to the next ! Out of interest where do you source your vans from ?

Another one...
Out of curiosity, why did you remove the towbar? In my mind, that would have been useful if you wanted to bring bikes or a small trailer to wherever you're going.

Blimey Mike, you don't take much of a break from one to the next ! Out of interest where do you source your vans from ? Hi there I don't source my vans from any particular place and usually have to travel for straight low mileage vans.I usually have to look at quite a few before finding the right van for converting. This van is a 2 owner,118k van with full history, first owner was a water bottle company so never worked hard. Cheers - mike

Hi I removed the tow bar because the customer didn't want it. I already have my next van so it may go on that one. cheers - mike

Hi all got a bit more done today the drivers side window is now fitted and have started applying the graphics. I have also done the first fix on the 12v electrics in the roof. There will be two large ceiling lights and two down lights above the kitchen. That will be it now until Wednesday as I'm in Lincoln for lunch tomorrow. Cheers - mike

Hi all had a steady few hours today. I have cut the flooring so thats ready to go down tomorrow once I have carpet lined the step, nearside rear arch and side step areas. Spent a couple of hours fitting the seat swivel. I can usually fit these in 15 mins but toady was a real pain as one of the bolts had seized solid. They protrude through the floor by about 30mm so are often rusty but today was something else. I ended up grinding it of level with the fixing and winding it out with my windy gun. Tomorrow should see the new floor and flooring down. Cheers - mike

Hi all got a bit more done this morning. I have cut the hole and fitted a mushroom vent. I have also made the patterns for the ceiling. This van and all subsequent ones will have a two piece ceiling instead of the previous three piece design. The cost is the same but it should look better. Cheers - mike

Hi all
have not updated for a while as I have been in the costa del sol.
I now have most of the bits here so its time to get stuck in.
I have made the new sub floor and but the vinyl to match. Before this goes down however there are a few bits that been covering in lining carpet so have got them done.
The floor should go down in the morning and the vinyl too.
Cheers - mike

Hi all
the weather has been atrocious today but managed to get a bit done
the roof has been cleaned and insulated with 50mm dacron.
I have started covering the door panels with lining carpet, just the side door to do later.
Tomorrow should see the wiring for the ceiling lighting installed and the ceiling made and possibly fitted.
Cheers - mike
