OK the Laurels alternator isn't charging so I put it on the bench wired it up and spun it and it made 14V so it works.
I was checking the wiring and noticed something weird, with the ignition off and no battery if I put the multimeter on the positive and negative battery clamp. It beeps. That means they're connected.
I tried the IS300 out of curiosity and ot didn't beep.
However Ive just thought if say the interior light was on would that connect the terminals?
So is the beep normal? Am I over thinking this, should I look for bad wiring?
It all seems to be in 1 piece.
