To buy another Car... March 2018 i scrapped my Focus that id had for 7 years. Since then i've done about 4000-5000 miles in my 1.1 Mk3 Escort which has been a lot of fun (and nail biting) ! but after driving it daily during this winter and worrying about every creaking noise, its makes i'm thinking i need something tougher if my career depends on it!! I've saved up some money and i've got great plans of buying a few different cars this year although i cant do anything till a month or so, once we move house (Living in London also makes the dream a lot harder) . My idea was to sell them before they become a pain ... this may not happen though but i'm determined to own something good, hopefully cool, retro and fun. All the while keeping the Escort because its sadly the car i always wanted. Early last year Owned this for 6 years but now its the Daily. (Edd China approved ) Summer Mojo 2018... borrowed this a lot last year... making me want an MBG GT or something similar. A lot of cars on my list haha My inspiration ... probably (definitely ) not the Trabby.

This year my intention is to avoid any new or major builds and finish off all the odds and ends on the others,
On the minor, fit the bumpers properly, wire in a radio, fit some sort of electronic ignition, tidy up a few areas of paint fix a leak from a rear shaft seal, add a new fuel pick up and anything else I find when it has been driven a bit.
on the Range Rover replace the seals on the weeping pas pump, sort out the back of the bonnet where the bonded in repair is cracking, repair some paint damage to the drivers door, get the a/c working and waxoyl the underside.
on the lotus try to seal a couple of oil leaks (more likely slow the down a bit!),seal the roof, use it more.
on the TR finish the re-wiiring, weld up and strengthen the area which has cracked around the rear trailing arm mount fit the new carpets re-paint the bonnet which has cracked and the front spoiler which has hit a multitude of kerbs, ramps etc.
on the mx5, fit a new front subframe which is not bent, and try to get the a/c working
on the street ka change the rear twwistbeam bushes.
Oh and I am also supposed to be re-doing the downstairs bog, re-laying the patio and plastering the dining room ceiling.
Good news is I have virtually all the parts for the cars so it shouldn't be too expensive.
but I might get sidetracked on a 100e a neighbour has and wants to build up with 1600 kent Escort suspension etc.....

Well, only 21 days in and I have more or less achieved what I wanted. I sold the Delica. deposit is paid but car has not been collected yet. I am still selling the Mercedes but I have bought a slide on camper. My dream was to built one but when an awesome bargain came passed I had to grab it. The same for the ute I needed to buy to fit the camper has been bought. Not very retro but a very retro kind of driving experience. I bought a 2010 Nissan Patrol DX ute. No electric windows, a bouncy ride, not very fast, noisy, but I luv it.

This is something I always wanted. I was able to buy the Patrol ute and the slide on for a really good price. We haven't used it yet but will in the very near future.
