Attempt to complete the 6 month challenge I started at the end of November 2018 to see if I can use the Princess as my only car. It does everything I want and need it to do in theory, I just need to put it to the test to see if it will actually reliably do it in practice. The main reason for that challenge is I'm undecided on the fate of my other car. This is a car that's comfortable, affordable, incredibly reliable, and generally great. I've spent far more on it than its worth and I'm attached to it. Trouble is, I want to experience more cars and sensibly can only afford to look after a maximum of two, if one goes it has to be the Rover. If I'm really lucky this year I might even get to dip my toe into pre-war car ownership, something I'm quite keen to do. Who knows, maybe even pre-war American could happen, we shall see.

To continue to look after "Stan" in the best way I can, considering less than 100% health. I really want to fit Central locking, electric bonnet popper and a cruise control I've had for years !

And lastly I've got the 'other' P6, now parked up in the corner of the garden with the weeds reclaiming it. I've started fitting a Salisbury 4HA live axle to it and Mercedes OM605, though I'm thinking about sourcing a lightweight alloy engine with big capacity, tuning it up and seeing how fast I can get it going down the 1/4 mile on the cheap? 5.3LS - China Choo Choo - Decapped injectors - Stage 2 Sloppy Cam and Pac 1280 springs - walbro 450 pump - 500whp. Do it. P. In english please.......

I was gifted several hundred hard found euro last year by my gorgeous wife, to get my escort running. The mechanic screwed me over!! So this year the plan is to, yet again, try and get the curse word to run. I drove about 12 miles last year in it.

Having spent last year doing everything but the engine on the Beetle, I've now had two professional diagnosis that it's basically "fox-pictured" from the gearbox back Everything. All of it. FUBAR So it looks like 2019 will be an engine and ancillaries kind of year whether I like it or not

My plan is to get my Toledo back on the road without swerving an MOT which I could do if I wanted to (I am still not sure about this MOT excemption thing)...!!! This means it will need some thorough love which I will give it in the form of a deep cleanse both inside and out before I give it to someone to fix properly!!! Here's how it looked about five years ago, it looks somewhat less loved now but it will return... Wish me luck, I think I'll need it.

I'm presently trying to sell the CROWN Vic (anyone want a cheap rot free yank tank? LOL), the GTO will continue to be my daily driver for the foreseeable future and may recieve some performance goodies this year. Maybe a cam and an intake manifold? I might get the Integra back on the road this year, although I've been saying that for quite a while, and it's a bit of an orphan as far as Hondas go.

The clutch has gone, but someone has also reversed into the front wing 😫 So I need to get the clutch changed and source a new wing for it, then it's ready for the show season. My Renault 5 is still going strong as my daily driver.

5.3LS - China Choo Choo - Decapped injectors - Stage 2 Sloppy Cam and Pac 1280 springs - walbro 450 pump - 500whp. Do it. P. In english please....... *coughs* I'll attempt to translate...
5.3 LS = Chevrolet 5.3 LS series V8, although most 5.3s had iron blocks and aluminum heads. There were some all aluminum 5.3s, but they were exclusive to extended cab 4WD 1/2 ton Silverados and Sierras made between 2005 and 2007. I imagine finding one of those in Europe will be a bit difficult, so I'd recommend going with a 5.7 or 6.0 if he wants an all aluminum V8 just for availability's sake.
China Choo Choo = Cheap ebay turbo.
Decapped injectors = Not exactly sure what this means, other than it probably increases the amount of fuel you can get into the engine.
Stage 2 Sloppy Cam and Pac 1280 springs = Camshaft and valve spring upgrade, although I'm not familiar with that cam setup.
Walbro 450 pump = Fuel pump upgrade, 450 is the rated output in liters per hour.
That said, I think the output would be closer to 550-575WHP, but that's my opinion.

I finished off 2018 and started 2019 with this Range Rover Which has now just given me enough and I've parked it in a field. So this week I have trialled a BMW 525i Sport, BMW 540i Sport, and a BMW 520i I bought for £180... and bought a replacement Fiat Ducato which is probably my choice of the lot. Immediate, realistic, plans for 2019, are to sort out the rear axle bushes on my 540i, sort out the wheels for the 110R, and perhaps get the Regata painted at last. Oh and the Favorit pickup will hopefully get done also.

Sometimes I forget that what seems to be common knowledge on one forum sometimes does not translate to another. Thanks for the translation SterlingArcher. Yup pretty much spot on. To add a little more Turbo kit from VS racing for around $1000- have to make your own hot side Stage 2 Sloppy cam - named after the infamous Matt Hopel aka Sloppy Mechanic. It’s a cam that he uses that gives great results, the PAC springs are to match. If you have t seen his builds on YouTube or on LS1 forum then do look him up. 1000whp pickup anybody? Decamped injectors - by taking off the “cap” on the injector the flow goes from 36lb to around 80lb. Cost effective way of supporting the Choo Choo. 500 is what is safely achievable - a lot more is available. Again check out Sloppy Mechanics. This is what is going in my pickup. So why has my build come to a halt? Started a new business 2 years ago and that has taken all my attention and cash, would love to get it done so that I can get the Christmas treee in 2019. Chances of that happening? Not very likely. The great thing about cars as a hobby is you can leave them wrapped up in the nice warm garage for years and come back to them. Bit difficult with pigeon breeding. P.

Finished 2018 with no cars on the road. I don't need a daily driver any more, and have not had a car on the road for a couple of months, but will have this sorted soon.
Rally car is going for mot in the next few weeks. I have a few details to improve on it too, new kevlar tank guard, floor pan guards and sill guards, carbon door trims, new Lexan windows but only really want to buy a tailgate one for my new tailgate, rather than 500 for a set I don't need.
MG is off the road, and I'm collecting parts for it. working on it in the summer and plan for it to be off the road for the next 1-2 years.
Tomcat is off the road, needs restoration but I wont be starting work until the MG is done.
I'm being realistic, and my other projects (3 mk1 Shoguns and a 200TDi series 3) are going to be sold as soon as I can sort it all out. As I just don't have time to do them and have no use for them if they ever do get finished.
I will be looking for something fairly practical and simple. (preferably K series powered and room in the back for a mountain bike, both wheels removed if necessary) I like the idea of a Metro GTi 16v or Rover 114 16v, have also considered going older, think Rover 220GTi, Austin Maxi, maybe Rover SD1. But most probably I will be looking for another Rover Streetwise 1400 or MG ZS 120 hatch.
Although if I found a Daihatsu Sirion 4wd in good condition I would probably go for that, always wanted one.

Huge list and I cant say too much about it at present due to other external issues - so I will just have to keep you waiting until Feb - however in the interim - The Range Rover is just coming into to it's first year of ownership and will be staying on the fleet And I have just finished sorting this little stunner out but it will probably have to find a new home Plenty waiting in the wings And I need sort my Javelin out - Rebuilt gearbox + new clutch + wiring harness + headlining + loads of little bits

I am selling the Delica and Mercedes and possibly the Suzuki to open up some funds to built a slide on camper. I have had this dream/fantasy for a long time to do this. This year I am going to do this. I want to sell the Merc first as I am not using it at all. Selling this will give me enough funds to kick some serious goals. After selling the Delica I will start looking for a 4WD single cab ute to fit the slide on camper. If I am still a bit short on funds the little Alto might have to go too.
