Got one of these that’s surplus to requirements. It’s unused and in its original packaging. These things kick out a serious amount of heat and will keep you toastie in the shed on these winter nights. I can courier it to your door all in for 75 quid. That’s a snip of the price they retail at.

Can I have first refusal based on a few answers please?
How far away from any/everything does it need to be to avoid burning anything?

Here you go. I just took photos of the instructions. Think it’s suggesting 1m... you don't want your head too close to it that’s for sure.

Mark - I have a very similar 3Kw heater - similar head unit to the one that's for sale here - mine is on a professional bodyshop stand They are readily available in the market but are circa £350 / £400 - If you knock a stand up for it - it will be far more usable - that way you can just put it where you are working by setting the height / angle of the head - you can also get digital timers for them - it's an invaluable piece of kit in my workshop - then again I also run a oil filled electric rad on a timer just has background to keep the chill out of the workshop

Thanks Chris, yes a bit expensive! I'm sure I can do something for a lot less. Edit, This should work fine I think? Timeguard TGBT4They do a 13A socket version as well. Timeguard TGBT6

Timeguard TGBT6Either of those will be fine - it just gives you the flexibility to use the heater on a panel for a set amount of time - I quite often set the timer and walk away and let it get on with the job whilst I do something else - I do use a hand held temperature sensor to ensure that the panel / paint is not heated to excess - sub 60c is fine (but it's worth checking the data sheet on the paint to make sure)

I'm going to get the immersion heater boost one - so no 13a plug.
