Great pics indeed! Hopefully you don't mind if I hijack the thread a little! Please let me know if you do! I wrote about my thoughts about the show here. The short version I hear you ask? -I drove down to the show in my S124 E320. It was a great way to ride down to the show! -Static shows can at time not be my bag, despite me attending many -Some stands put up a great effort in showing a variety of cars, moving less away from a hierarchical order. -Electric powered classics made an apperance and showed just what was possible. -Recently I've been an iPhone camera man. For some time I've been an SLR user, starting out with a Nikon D70s, before going to a D7000, both shod with a Nikon 18-200mm VR lens. This time would be different. I'd be using a Sony A6000 on a 16-50 kit lens. Would I like it or would I hate it? Would the shots actually be OK? I'll leave that for you folks to decide with some C&C . So, the shots: This entrance will be familiar to many!: Fancy 320BHP as a turnkey solution for £7k? Look no further peeps: RetroWarwicK was considering finishing off this AH build: It wasn't just shiny stuff that had the attention at the show thankfully. Take this barn find: A bit of aeroplane engines-in-car engineering I hear you say? It was there: A great badge to see on a Jensen. Now, where's that 6 pack of beer? Oh Lord, will you buy me a Citroen SM? Dollywobbler also made it out, this time in RWC! Cheap tyres anyone? Also part of JLR Classic collection were Single DIN sav-navs. Were these one a boyhood wonder or actually capable of searching a purpose? This car was interesting for me to view. It had less miles but it was an E220T. The amount he wanted really made mine look like a bargain! theleylandlegends.files.wordpress.com/2018/11/dsc00215.jpg?w=2000&h=/img]This was a very clean 205: Retro or not? This car was interesting. Something didn't sit right: It must be the grille but what is beneath it? THat's all for now gents.

Always a pleasure folks . I forgot that I also have a gallery here, showing the other pics. What else? I became a little poor after this show, entirely due to my own doing. How? -Bought some old Rover Land Rover overalls for a £10er ; these will prove handy down the unit -Also bought a cut price rugby top, again £10. -Got a set of number plates for the 2CV. It needs them really, as much as I don't mind the old patinated item on the rear -I got a couple of coffees and a beer. After all, why not? -Bought 2 sets of mats, one for the M3, and another for the W124. I'll save what those are for the threads but I'll leave this here for now. It could have been worse. I could have paid £8k for a 1995 W124 E220 Estate....

Great pics indeed! This car was interesting. Something didn't sit right: It must be the grille but what is beneath it? I am all for technology moving the world forward etc and this modified to electric drive MGA is a creative modern day leap in to running a classic - but the thing that really does not sit right is the price of £150,000.00 - yep that's right - just sign on the dotted line sir

Those two DeLoreans touching butts made me feel funny. (I know it's wrong but I still can't shake the 11 year old, cinema-loving kid that goes all weak at the knees at the site of them).

I do expect to see more of these classic electric conversions in the future but the costs are going to have to come way down before it becomes mainstream.

The Jowett Car Club stand was very busy but we appear to have been off the radar to catch the attention of many peoples camera's - so in order to correct / balance the situation Unique Jowett Javelin convertible - brought down from Scotland to the show 1926 Jowett short 2 Javelin saloon Jupiter chassis alongside a fully built Jupiter Apparently we were runners up in the best themed stand award

You are most certainly correct - although I don't why we bothered - there is a strict - No starting or running of vehicles during the show - did not stop several of the traders starting the cars if they thought they had the slightest whiff of a sale !

talking of slight whiffs, sunday evening "break down" draw your eyeline to roof trusses and it will answer why the picture is all wobbly and taken from outside.

On the Monday morning following this, one poor soul must have been collecting their pride and joy but didn't make it much past the entrance on to the M42 south - car (something pre-60's large and dark coloured) was still attached to its trailer, but the trailer was no longer on its wheels, and still attached to the P38 Range Rover towing it - with its back end up in the air. P38 was dark blue, so I don't think it was @grumpynorthener with a Jowett in tow?
