Hi all,
Pricing up a new ABS sensor for my Honda Legend / Acura RL and they're all coming in above 3 figures.
My question is - do these tend to be interchangeable at all? They are all essentially the same part doing the same job, so if there's any way I can save a few bob I'm all ears

Hi, I work for Honda in parts, I'm sure they're not supposed to swap over, the mounting brackets and length etc. will be different. But if you want to pm the reg or vin and which sensor you're after I will look.

RockAuto is a good shout.
One thing I'd say is to be careful of trying unbranded sensors even for little cost. IME they don't work and I've fitted a few parts in my time. What's more, a non-working ABS can have a knock on effect like:
-losing the 5th gear in 5 speed auto Merc W124s and certain R129s. My car goes from doing 2,700rpm in 5th to around 4000RPM in 4th! -Messing around with the gear change logic on automated manual cars, and modern autos. -Possibly even limp home mode on a couple of cars where the ABS sensors are used to calculate wheel speed.
