I’ve got a 66/67 beetle that’s far too low for me so I need to raise it a tiny bit so it at least clears speed bumps. The rear of the pan is about 90mm off the floor and the front is about 100mm
What I haven’t been able to find out is what do I need todo with the inner spline is it simply twist either way or do I need to pull the torsion bar out slightly and twist .... the outer spline adjustment I just remove the spring plate and put it back one spline down or up depending if I’m lowering or raising?
Cheers

The splines are the same sort of principle on the inner and outer. Just pull the torsion bar out, rotate it the required angle, and re-insert it. I marked mine before I adjusted them so I had a reference point. Because there are a different number of splines at each end, you can get a fairly precise adjustment by using a mixture of inner and outer spline adjustment. There's a handy table here: vw.zenseeker.net/Wheels-TorsionBars.htm that'll help you work out how many splines you need to go round

How has the front been lowered? If it's dropped spindles then the only way to change it is to swap to stock spindles. If the beam's got Sway-Away adjusters welded in (bit olde worlde nowadays) or is a replacement adjustable beam then you should be able to just wind it back up to the height you want .... might need replacement torsion leaves tho, depending how messed-about with it is.
Pics might help us diagnose

I plan on refurbing the whole brakes and suspension over winter. Is there anything I need to get specific for a lowered beetle I know I’m gonna need lowered ball joints
