	Hi folks, so the LRA00100 Lucas Alternator which is only a couple of years old has packed up on my Mk2 Jag - I might have damaged it when jump starting the car from a boost pack but it ought to cope with such things! As is seems most Lucas stuff is now cheaply made in China - is there a good quality alternative - I don't really want to have to keep replacing the thing! Any suggestions for suppliers would be welcome. thanks in advance Cortinaman

	I think you will find the one you have is a Lucas style alternator rather than a genuine Lucas which I am sure have not been made for a number of years. You can get a alternator made to Original Equipment Specs made in Europe from these guys Auto Electrical Supplies but they are more than three times the price of a Chinese copy.
