right I'm looking at using a supercharger from a clk230 on an engine build this is the more common charger fitted to most of the 4 pot merc's (part number starts with A111)
now I know they fitted this same charger to the 1.8 / 2.0 / 2.3 the only difference was in the crank pulley diameter so to match charger speed to engine size but I can't find out what the actual stock diameters are this is going on a 2.1 so the std clk230 diameter should suit it just fine
so if anyone has a Mercedes 2.3 kompressor they could measure the crank pulley or if anyone has used this charger on their own build and has any information that would be great
I have looked on eBay for second hand pulleys but the listings are vague so you could end up getting the wrong one and they seam to fetch £100 and as I can't use the pulley it's an expense I'd prefer not to pay the only other option is trial and error but that to is an expensive option
any help would be appreciated thanks

Hi, The crank pulley on our '99 230SLK is 185mm diameter. Cheers, Brian. Thanks👍 Ive been searching loads of stuff on the net but it all conflicts each other the only size that came up more often was a upgrade pulley by some known Mercedes specialist and that was 230mm so 185 for a stock one would make sense that at gives me a solid starting point

This what I recall as I've 230 Kompressor with an M62. There are two Eaton S/C's fitted to the W208 CLK & R170 SLK, the change over was around late '99 early '00. Early cars have an M62, this has a clutch, the later cars were M45's - no clutch. All W202 230K's had an M62. Any 1.8 engines which I think is from 2001> were fitted with an M45 S/c. The facelift CLK ,SLK (M45) and W203 C-Class Kompressor the stock crank pulley is 195mm. Example for a stock pre 2000 230 SLK /CLK (M62)- S/c pulley is about 96mm and the crank pulley is around 185mm. Max engine rev's 5800. (185/96) x 5800 = 11,177 RPM Over size crank pulley are around 218mm (which I've fitted), so: (218/96) x 5800 = 13,170 RPM Maximum continuous RPM for the Eaton M62 charger is 14,000rpm. Annoying confusing but I hope that helps a bit?

Right that's deffo a M45. Again, from memory the stock crank pulley would have been 195 mm and later 1.8 engines had 175mm. That's the way I recall it!
