I want one badly, too, especially the mk1 version. Cute lil car! Michael aka ElWoody has one, or better his girlfriend does, but she refuses to sell it! Really miss the man on here. I hope all is good with him. I’m guessing you know that braaap is El Woody’s new username? Unless it was a huge massive coincidence?!

Your wrong freshandminty, I am not ElWoody.
I know him (from a different forum, before I came here), I know his cars, even bought his polo breadvan, I know his girlfriend, too - but I am not him.

A few weeks later I still love my lil violet van, it´s not the fastest car I ever drove, but hey I´m far beyond my boy racer age. It did this on a flat and free autobahn, good to know but not necessary too often: I did some research on accessories, but had to learn, the only legal stuff (besides some boring alloy wheels) are wind deflectors for the windows. That´s it. Okay, you see some wagons with stainless bull and sill bars occasionally, but that´s not my cup of tea. You can get several sets of lowering springs from poland or the UK, but no legal ones, I mean tested and documented for easy legalising here in germany. For the second generation you can get much more, but I prefer the boxy mk1. I did look on ebay.com, too and I got me two books from japan. Well rather catalogues or encyclopaedias of what has been made for the wagon R. Lots and lots and lots! But not for the wagon R+ ,the wider european version. I did some photos to show you the variety of accessories: I especially like this little van conversion: I looked for some scale models, too. HotWheels and Matchbox? Nothing. I was able to get a 1/43 model here in germany: A micro model came from japan. It´s not really a bottle cap, but it fits tight onto a bottle cap. And finally a hong kong toy store supplied this nice japanese set of four: They are all the original = thin wagon R (no +), which means two doors on the left, one door on the right hand side. But that´s better than nothing.
