My wife recently bought this car and hates it for several reasons, with no power steering being the big one.
The details of the car are as follows
57,000 miles all old mots are present with service history. EFi rs turbo set up with MK4 EFI loom (still retains all MK3 dash and switch gear). Stage2 ecu, beige injectors, Pace inter cooler. LSD Gear box. Rs turbo anti dive kit. Electric windows, roof, central locking ect thanks to the Mk4 loom. Rs turbo breaks No welding as far as i can tell.
The car its self drives well, suffers from a little torque steer and feels a little lose, but its cab with almost 100bhp more than it was designed for.
Wife wants to sell, me not so much T.B.H. hence this post, so any ideas to what its worth are welcome
Looks nice, if the interior is about the same condition as the bodywork I'd say Mercdan is on the money and £3½K+ is about right - if it was original. As for the non standard engine, I'm really not sure what that does to value, it might knock £1K off for the purist or add £1K for the speed-freak? Perhaps best to assume a neutral impact overall. Unless you're desperate to sell, start high, you can always decrease the price but you can't increase it!
Silly question but if you could retro-fit powered steering would the missus suddenly love it?
