Hello there, my 13 year old son has expressed an interest in building up a go kart, with a view to going racing. This sounds like a much better idea than playing on computer games, so naturally, I agreed. He is going to start with a bare chassis and build it up as and when his paper round wages can buy some parts.
We found a decent chassis but I under-estimated just how much a courier would charge to pick it up. If anyone is heading up this way I would really appreciate it if they could help us out. It is just a bare chassis, so not very big or heavy.
Even if you are not heading all the way up north, I would happily come and meet you or collect it from you. Petrol/beer money provided, of course.

Hi discostew - sorry not an offer to help with your chassis move, more a general suggestion My experiments over the years have shown me that sourcing parts for a project "as & when" works out as a very expensive way to do things. It might be worth looking for a blown / scrap / crashed (complete) kart to use for parts.
Hope you get the chassis move sorted, it sounds like a great way to spend some time together and have some fun
