Vauxhall Carlton hearse, selling on behalf of a friend. Perfect car to bring out your inner goth.
It's a 1990, H reg, 1.8L automatic. Was used as a hearse (obviously) and was then bought by a friend of mine who intended to convert it into a creepy camper. So the sides have been painted to make it look less deathy and the interior has been partly dismantled. My friend's plans then changed so it is now up for grabs.
The good stuff - runs well (or was running a few months ago when it was moved, will put a battery on it soon and fire it up) and was driven on the road when my friend collected it. It has 108,000 miles on the clock. Can't guarantee that is correct but seems about right considering its previous use. No corpse in the back.
The bad stuff - needs a fair bit of welding underneath. No battery. No MOT. No corpse in the back.
Looking for £350 or a sensible offer. Collect from Herefordshire. You'll need a trailer.
Had a shuftie last night and the underneath of the sills both sides need doing in places. Didn't get too far underneath so there may be more but couldn't see anything else.
It fired up first turn of the key. Went onto three cylinders and didn't have time to fiddle around but expect it's just a loose plug cap or similar. Fuel leak from injector return pipe but trundled around without a problem, otherwise.
