Do you think one could stand in the back? This Peel Microcar sold at the same auction, a snip at £50K  I reckon the Mastiff / 2 Labs have more chance of standing in the back of the Traveller than the Peel? |

Did I read that right? £50k?!? has some kind of provenance? Actually £49½K if we were splitting hairs. It's a scruffy example that someone has treated to a spectacularly bad paint job, I don't believe there is any interesting provenance just the fact it's one of only 50 made and the P50 is the smallest ever production car. The last one sold at auction went for £120K, I think there's a good chance it's probably been bought by a museum. If I had £50K burning a hole in my pocket it probably wouldn't be my first choice! |

I read the catalogue and wondered if there was anything not mentioned on there, i had no idea they were worth that kind of money - there's an acty owner that has a P50 and a few other peels / microcars / spares collections and thought nothing of it! |

Is that the thing that Clarkson drove around the BBC? Yep, very funny; You can even buy a new replica; p50cars.com/£6½K for a diy kit or £8½K for a completed version. I don't know how they've got around stuff like NCAP testing? |
