As camad said really, but the Mk2 Cavs for myself are a fantastic motor as I have always owned one or even 2-3 or 4 lol since I was 18 I only have 2 at the moment, the 1st is a fully restored SRi-130 with 48.000, which in my opinion isn't that far away from been concourse, and I have just purchased a black saloon SRi with 15k showing on the clock....... Heres a couple of pics That is absolutely stunning! I can only imagine what sort of patience you need to carry out that sort of work, and to do it on a car which doesn't have a massive following compared to some of the more usual concours candidates (although growing i'm sure) is totally commendable! 4.6 billion retro points

I worked on these when they were current and that car is way nicer than they came from the factory. Mk 2 Cav s along with Astras are were the standard for Sales Reps back then, great cars.

Hey thanks guys, I was really into the modified stuff for a long time, but I picked the 130 up with 2 owners on 46.000 and I just wanted to prove that a standard 130 can look good....
The black one is going to be more about me, modified but the plan is one of each ;D

*This is my kind of area: Firstly the white Cav in the picture is a now very rare SR (1600 carb engine) NOT an SRi which were 1800cc to start with and later (facelifted) Mk2 Cavs had either a two litre 130bhp lump or a (circa) 118bhp motor. Cool, i didn't realise they did an SR as well. I picked that picture because it was similar to how i remember them looking, and needed a Mk2 for demonstration purposes. There are brochures of loads of the models of Mk2 on www. mk2cav.com, folllow the link for Brochure & Mag Gallery. I found it whilst looking for a picture of a GLS model, as i got a set of the alloys for my Astra.

He was mightily p*ss*d off though because if he'd waited ten days he'd have had an SRi instead! Still, I didn't complain because it replaced a Talbot Alpine and I passed my test in the SR after my driving instructer didn't turn up.

Thank's for all the info on these car's guy's it's a white one same as pic on the first page so i stand corrected and it's a mk2 i am looking at . Next step is to go and nock on the door and see if the car could possibly be prised out of the owners hand for a minimal cost. Appologies for the bad start to the thread although been moving my aunt with altzimers into a home this week so maybe should have left it till i could have written more and no pics cause i can't figure out putting them on so got to try again when less preoccupied. Some of us find the welder and the grinder more friendly than the computer. Anywho i can take a bit of fun and i actually dig those volvo's and it's turned out a few people liked this thread. Will keep you all informed on the hm hm MK2 as i find out more.
