I'm in two minds to remove the ally rear cover setup and revert to the stock look as to be honest, It ain't much good if I want to load a washing machine or lawnmower or if you wish, a bunch of retro parts or goodies! I would have the load area coated in Linex or similar coating to ensure it's protected somewhat. The remaining stainless add on's would then be power coated gloss black so that it's less blingy  As usual, always happy to receive opinions from those more enlightened!

I think you should chuck the chavtastic ‘trim’ swap the bumpers for Boggo spec ones then jack it up ever so lightly and whack on some Jimney off-roader type wheels? Keep the rocksliders

After a few months ownership, the rear ally cover is not proving very practical so despite it costing the previous owner a stack of notes to get it made, I'm thinking it needs removing to restore the rear area back to stock. A rapture or pricy LineX coating would be ideal but a bit undecided whether to go white or black!  |

I Like your bin cover. keep everything inside and everyone one who wants something in the bin outside ,lol, like here in south africa i would have go for this, but would have go more for a black look. to go with the wheels. don't you guys have the tonneau cover which make access to the bin easy.?

No tonneau cover here sir! You can't get anything for the utility in the UK apart from the parts shared with the saloon. Have been looking for a roof spoiler but can't even seem to find one from SA suppliers. |

Well the weekend was spent stripping the ally back out together with the wood floor and panelling. I was expecting a load of rust under the wet wood but surprisingly, it's fared quite well over nearly 20 years. Loads of silicone and adhesive still to remove before welding up about 50 drill holes on the tailgate. Anyhow, did it's first bit of work carrying this workbench tonight!  |

Jeez but I hate silicone! The previous owner had used tubes of it fitting out the rear tub as an adhesive for the timber but after many hours prepping , I finally got to primering the rubbed through areas with etch primer ready for the raptor. With a bit of luck, it should be down during the week after masking it all off late today.  |

Really saddened although I sold the Corsa pickup. A good friend bought this wee pickup from me when I bought the F100 as I couldn't keep both trucks due to space back in 2019. He loved it's UK uniqueness and insisted he bought it so I gave him a very fair price & he took it. Since then it has stood in his garden like an ornament going mucky green. The reality is that these used to rust quite easily and I have no doubt the rot has begun.
Being grownup, one should just let it go as it ain't yours anymore but seeing it unloved and deteriorating unnecessarily really gets to me. Weird post but I think there are many ex owners who see this happening.
