I started this thread just after receiving a reply to a letter I sent to Car Sos. Long story short dad was knocked off his bike and the consequent brain damage and sight loss meant he wasn't able to complete his life long project.
The day after my 2nd daughter was born I was expecting a visit from the producers to check the car out. I ended up with Fuzz and Woody in the garage looking at all dad's cars. Woody wanted to do dad's blue Mk1 but Fuzz was adamant he wanted the Model A. They pretty much confirmed there and then we had made it but we still had an agonising wait for confirmation.
I had already started to clear the garage as soon as I had the initial response a few months earlier. I saw this as my opportunity to get dad the cars he deserved, or at least to organise what he had.
I persuaded dad that we needed to remove all his Model A parts and put them into storage, while the A was away the plan was to paint the garage and organise some racking so when the Model A returned we could compile a list of every part we had. The car was literally in a hundred pieces and he had spent years buying all the small parts needed to finish it. It wasn't a small job but his knowledge and determination would of got in done as soon as he retired, he was set to retire 3 years after the accident.
Once at the storage unit it escalated quickly. Tim, Fuzz and the crew came and took the car away and we didn't see it for about 6 weeks. When we saw it at the workshop it looked like less of a car ( if that's possible) but had all the brakes and suspension renewed.
I will fill the gaps at a later date but for now I'll let you watch the show and tell me what you think. Any questions, critism or appreciation please add it here.
The quality of the work is spot on, yes the car has had teething problems, but how many 90 year old cars don't. The car isn't 100% but as Woody pointed out that isn't the point. Dad can finish the final 1% and restore his interest in the car.

I'm looking at one of these for short term storage and then long term rain cover when garage has been reorganised. Any reviews, recommendations or bad experiences please let me know.
Thanks Tom
