Count Panda, you may just have caused me to revisit owning a Gal like that one!
Had an R plate 2.3 that we took everywhere in the UK and beyond, and maybe 2 trips too far! It kept on coming back for more with the only thing that ever went wrong being the same relay twice.

Needs dropped for a start, as for alloys, sure i bought new steels from the local VW dealership that were 112 pcd, not the Ford 108 pcd. Opens up a whole range of something a wee bit different!

Every time I see a Mk1 Prairie, or whatever they are called..... I again realise that’s another car I would happily have . But how many come up for sale in the U.K. that are as good a buy as the Berlingo?? Would certainly look at owning one. |

We bought this a couple of months ago and already love it, 1996 honda stepwagon. JDM import powered by honda's b20b with column shift auto gearbox and 4wd. seats 8 adults comfortably and still has good boot space.the seats fold flat to make a bed or fold out the way to make a van, as the engine is up front it has a completely flat floor so you can walk (or step - hence stepwagon) through from the front to back. Converted to lpg as well so it's even cheap to run. We just did a 1400 mile holiday to France in it and it's the most comfortable car we've ever had and i've ever driven. I also love the fact no-one knows what it is and it's got weird little Japanese features everywhere (and buttons only in Japanese so i don't know what they do!) You need to check in with all the classifieds pretty often before you'd see one as there are few left now. One of our fellow RR members was selling one 2 months ago, I don't know if it's still up for grabs? MOT history worth scrutiny. forum.retro-rides.org/thread/208967/nissan-prairie-anniversary-first-pboro I used one as a works runabout in the late 80's; it was a good workhorse, soaked up a lot of abuse and never put a foot wrong. Nippy & frugal too. |

My not quite a people carrier not quite a car Golf plus. Been the family wagon for 5 years now, it's battered and not really looking very good anymore (this is the less dented/less rusty side) but it just keeps plodding along and it's worth so little now that I'm just running it until it breaks or disolves.  |

I'm trying to find that bodykit you have on your stepwagon and I'm also sorting some new springs as mine are looking very rusty, they are very expensive from japan so I've found a company in Sheffield who can make them to a sample.
I used to have an L300 some years ago (sold it to someone on here), it was a good vehicle but i find the steppy a much better all-rounder and cheaper to run
